SPEECH Competition: By now you should have written your speech. It is time to get your
speech onto cue cards (I have cardboard at school you can use) and practice
saying it to your family and in the mirror! We will have our in class
competition in Week 5 and 6. The Syndicate completion will take place in Week
7. Two Year 7 and two Year 8 students will be selected from our class to go
forward.

Commonwealth Games
What amazing Games it has been! As I write we are
sitting 5th on the medal tally and Valerie has just won her GOLD.
Who has inspired you these Commonwealth Games?
Choose one Sportsman or Woman who has impressed you in
Glasgow. Research their country, sport, success, training, family life and any
other information to share with us back in class. This doesn’t need to be a big
project but I would be interested to find out who has inspired you and why.
